Hi! I'm Joël and I will go in Kindergarten and Primary Education the next semester. This glossary will help current and future teachers to navigate into my blog, and it contains difficult words that are necessary to understand teaching's sphere well. Also, this glossary will focus on kindergarten and primary teaching. This tool will include twenty words, their definitions, their pronunciation, their translations and pictures that define the words. Curriculum
noun
The subjects comprising a course of study in a school or college.
Example: One suggested, 'Lessons in texting may form part of the English CURRICULUM...'.

Degree
noun
An academic rank conferred by a college or university after examination or after completion of a course of study, or conferred as an honor on a distinguished person.
Example: It would also be more appropriate for the unambitious students of moderate talents who currently apply for an English DEGREE, but would be more at home in a less intensive programme of liberal study.

In the manner of a teacher, particularly so as to treat someone in a patronizing way.
Example: Her great affinity for the people and traditions of rural Chile, combined with her own education in DIDACTIC methods as a teacher.

Elementary school

A school for the first four to six grades, and usually including kindergarten.
Example: Good (1977) led an investigation into the types of science topics taught to ELEMENTARY SCHOOL children and how they were taught.

Homonym
noun
Each of two or more words having the same spelling or pronunciation but different meanings and origins.
Example: The point is that HOMONYMs are both homophones (they sound the same) and homographs (they look the same).

noun
A person who teaches something.
Example: For 20 years and then became a driving INSTRUCTOR which he did for 6 years.

Kindergarten
noun
A school or class that prepares children for first grade. A child in kindergarten is typically 5 or 6 years old.
Example: He also makes the point that the KINDERGARTEN education is not given to 'the best children', but 'the children of better parents'.

An amount of teaching given at one time; a period of learning or teaching.
Example: Each LESSON has a clear grammatical item or structure as its central core and some of the exercises used are similar to those highlighted by Johnson (1996) such as fill in the gap exercises.
